Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion is a fast-acting acne spot treatment. It contains calamine and salicylic acid. It's described to shrink whiteheads overnight! It can be used on the face, chest, or back.
You want to use this treatment before bed because it will show up on your skin, even after it dries. After you complete your nightly skin care routine (cleansing, moisturizing, etc), you dip a cotton swab into the pink lotion at the bottom of the bottle and apply it where needed. Let it dry and leave it alone until the morning.
Side note: the directions strictly say not to shake the bottle!
I haven't had to use this product a whole lot as I don't break out much anymore. I bought it to have around as a "just in case" product. It's always a good idea to be prepared! I've used this on minor breakouts and it does make a noticeable difference in size and appearance of pimples.
It has a strong smell - minty and medicine-like. It also stings a little when I apply it. It dries quickly though and I don't feel it on my face. I wake up, rinse my face off in the shower, and I'm good to go!
This was the first Mario Badescu product I've tried. I'm starting to plan out what I want to try next from the brand.
